For this round of our Framer’s Corner, our designer Jace chose to highlight a vibrant and captivating piece of Otomi embroidery—an exquisite example of traditional Mexican folk art that bursts with life and color.
This hand-embroidered textile features a joyful array of flora and fauna rendered in radiant, rainbow threads. Each stitch tells a story passed down through generations of artisans from the Tanango region of central Mexico.

For this project, Jace worked with an 18th or 19th century engraving of Salome with the Head of John the Baptist. This hauntingly elegant piece required a framing approach that honored its era, maintained its fragile condition, and created a timeless presentation.
