Drawn to the intricate tapestry of the connections that bind us to the natural world and beyond, Jessie seeks to illuminate these bonds through her artwork. By imbuing animals, plants, and people with symbolic elements such as celestial halos, opulent trinkets, speech bubbles, and child-like drawings, Jessie creates surreal visual narratives. Her process begins with real life observations and capturing the essence of her subjects through photography. Through meticulous illustration and the implementation of symbolic elements Jessie transforms these subjects into dreamlike visions; creating artwork that stirs the imagination and evokes a profound emotional response.

We are so excited to see everyone tonight for our Employee Appreciation Art Exhibition starting at 4:30 pm today! BUT... we know there is a storm warning, so we are taking all precautions to keep everyone safe, including our staff, our vendors, and our guests. We are prepared to move our vendor's market into our gallery if the storm does hit hard, and food and beverage trucks will park close to our entrances, and we will set up tables indoors for eating! We hope to see you all tonight!

Let's introduce her!

Glory Lawson has been with Frame of Mind for a few years now, and is our go to for all things in the art supply store! Glory is an #abstract mixed-media #painter who studied in the BFA Program at the University of Montana in Missoula. Calling Missoula home since 1989, she loves playing outside whether she’s mountain biking, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, hiking, or camping.

Glory loves to #draw and #paint pictures of food, flowers, mountains, and trees from memory in an old-school graphic style using alcohol ink markers, gouache, and pigment ink. “Nerding out,” as she calls it, with other art enthusiasts about materials, techniques, and outside-the-box problem solving for projects is one of her favorite things to do. Glory’s work will be featured in our employee exhibition in our gallery, as well as hosting a booth the night of our opening.

Jace Lee Anderson is a multidisciplinary #artist dedicated to capturing the intersection between reality and existential themes. With a background in pen and ink, graphite, oil paint, photography, and poetry, Jace's work explores dark and #abstract ideas. Influenced by the beauty and decay of life, Jace invites you to reflect on impermanence, the stories embedded in the mundane, and the deeper introspection of the human condition.

Let's introduce her!

Heather Cox is the #frameshop manager at Frame of Mind. Heather grew up here in Missoula, Montana, and her first love is her family. Heather is married and a mother to a very sweet, outgoing little girl and her family just recently welcomed their new little boy to the world!

Heather is an avid gardener, jewelry designer and student of yoga. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping trips, exploring the great outdoors and living life to the fullest. Heather loves to frequent the many beautiful hot springs, rivers and lakes around our great state.

Heather has been a #customframing designer at Frame of Mind since 2018, and has over 15 years of framing experience. She has a love of color and aesthetic. As a #jewelry artist she loves to put unlikely materials together to achieve that extra unique pazazz. She has been designing jewelry almost her whole life. Starting with plastic beads as a child, learning hemp tying as a teenager and many other things in between while exploring her creativity using many different materials.

Heather created Gem&Eye Designs in 2008 and enjoyed many years of selling her designs at markets, art fairs and retail spaces. While currently focusing on her family and Frame of Mind these days she enjoys getting her creative juices flowing in her off time to create unique pieces for people to enjoy.
