Winter Wonderland of Watercolor: Intermediate
An event every week that begins at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, repeating indefinitely
How often have you expressed a desire to paint with watercolor, found yourself frustrated with the results of your attempts, or hungered for lessons that explore unique techniques to bring life and vitality to your
work? If this is you, then we’ve got just the thing! Our classes can help you to better understand and control
of your composition. These watercolor classes, covering 6 weeks/18 hours of instruction, are designed for
beginners and experienced painters alike.
These classes will teach you why, how, when, and where to apply water and pigment. They will also include
demonstrations, visual reference materials, examples, questions, and individual attention. Those attending will choose their own subject, complete paintings demonstrating the concepts taught, and then explain and self-critique their paintings. The exchange of compliments, positive suggestions, and encouragement between students will enhance the learning experience. Participants will be guided to make knowledgeable decisions, use personal intuition, and varied techniques that will further expand their creativity and passion for watercolor.
So, no more excuses, throwing down your brush in frustration, or repeating what you know and being
disappointed in your attempt. Bring your excitement, curiosity, and supplies for classes that keep you
hungering for more.
Class materials: Personal watercolor paints, paper, brushes, palette, mounting board, and extra tools.
Beginners will be guided at the first class what supplies to purchase.
Tuesday 12:30-3:30pm for Intermediate Learners (January 17-February 21)
Wednesdays 12:30-3:30pm for Experienced Artists (January 18-February 22)
Thursday 12:30-3:30pm for Basic Beginners (January 19-February 23)
Students receive a 10% discount on supplies, or 15% for great celebrity impressions (or truly valiant attempts)!
