when a customer asks us to cut a painting, but we when a customer asks us to cut a painting, but we convince them to let us shrink the size archivally! lots of steps to this process including: *repairs on rips and tears in the painting, *prepping the stretcher to allow us to sew stretch the canvas *extending the edges of the canvas to ensure stability *and constantly heating and adding moisture to to canvas and paint on the canvas to ensure it doesn’t crack while we are stretching it. our shop owner @ams_dots is about 3 days in to the project with more to go, but at least we know the canvas will be saved from cracking, tearing and we won’t lose any details on this beautiful piece of art! #archivalframing #workworkworkworkwork #sewingandstretching #framingskills #missoulaframing @frame_of_mind_mt
Check out this rad shadowbox we just completed for Check out this rad shadowbox we just completed for a customer featuring their @badomensofficial memorabilia! 🎶🔥 Huge credit to our awesome customer for having such a clear vision for the layout — we were just excited to help bring it to life! We were also thrilled to use one of the @romamoulding Vola Collection “Night Hush” frames for this project. The paint splatter finish tied everything together perfectly with the vinyl records and gave the whole piece an extra edgy vibe. 🖤 And since this was such a dark toned piece, we paired it with @truvueglazing Museum Glass to cut down on glare and reflections — because nobody wants to see themselves staring back in the glass instead of the artwork. 😅 #frameofmindmt #missoula #montana #pictureframing #customframing #shadowbox #memorabiliaframing #badomens #vinylart #concertmemorabilia #romamoulding #museumglass #customframeshop
