Glory

Glory is an abstract mixed-media painter who studied in the BFA Program at the University of Montana in Missoula.  Calling Missoula home since 1989, she loves playing outside whether she’s mountain biking, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, hiking, or camping.  She’s a mama bear to one sweet little daughter, and is a self-professed art materials experimentation and research nerd.  Glory has illustrated two children’s books in collaboration with The Whizpops; Talkin’ Bout Dinosaurs, and Forest Communities, and has ideas for authoring and illustrating her own book(s) in the future.  In her free time, Glory loves to draw and paint pictures of food, flowers, mountains, and trees from memory in an old-school graphic style using alcohol ink markers, gouache, and pigment ink.  She has spent the last year experimenting and learning about watercolor paints and colored pencils and is almost ready to actually start making paintings with them!  “Nerding out,” as she calls it, with other art enthusiasts about materials, techniques, and outside-the-box problem solving for projects is one of her favorite things to do.  Working at Frame of Mind Art Supply Store gives her many opportunities to connect and share knowledge with the fascinating like-minded people in our community.
